What we do
We research a product, write up what it contains and how it is meant to be used, and link to the seller's checkout. When somebody buys through one of our links, the seller pays us a commission.
That is the entire business. There is nothing more sophisticated going on, and pretending otherwise would be the first thing to distrust about a site like this one.
What we do not do
- We do not manufacture SlimSoda or any other product.
- We do not hold stock or ship anything.
- We do not take your payment or see your card details.
- We do not process returns or issue refunds.
- We do not set prices, run the promotions, or write the guarantee.
All of that belongs to SlimSoda, the seller. Once you click through to their checkout, your transaction, your data and your consumer rights are with them. Their terms, refund policy, shipping policy and privacy policy govern what you buy.
How we make money
Commission on qualifying orders placed through our links. The rate is set by the seller's affiliate programme. It does not add anything to your price, and it does not get us a better deal for you either — we have no control over what the seller charges.
You should read anything on this site with that in mind. We have a financial interest in you buying. The correct response to that is to check the seller's own materials and make your own decision, which is exactly what we tell you to do throughout.
How we write
A few rules we hold ourselves to, because this product category is full of sites that do not:
- No invented customers. We do not publish testimonials, transformation photos, or review counts we cannot stand behind.
- No countdowns or fake stock. If a timer resets when you reload the page, it was never real. You will not find one here.
- No predicted results. Nobody can tell you what a supplement will do to your body from a web page, and we are not going to pretend we can.
- No borrowed authority. No celebrity faces, no news logos, no implied endorsement from people and organisations who have not endorsed anything.
- Claims get attributed. Where we describe what the product is meant to do, we say plainly that it is the seller describing it.
A word on the product category
Weight-management supplements attract aggressive marketing, and the baking soda angle in particular has been used by a number of operators whose advertising has been the subject of complaints and litigation. Some of that advertising has used fabricated celebrity endorsements.
We mention it because scepticism is the correct posture here, including towards us. Check the label. Check the refund terms. Ask your doctor if you take medication. If a page is trying to rush you, close it.
